Larned's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Ellis Railroaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since September 13th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Larned got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 26-24, 21-25, 25-8.

Their offense was headlined by Jadyn Crosby and Anna Simmons, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Brooke Simmons and her 24 assists. Crosby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Larned's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Ellis, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Larned didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against South Gray on the 27th. As for Ellis, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Skyline on the 27th.
