Softball Recap: Mount Juliet Takes a Loss

If Mount Juliet was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of White House on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Bears fell just short of the Dickson County Cougars by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Golden Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Annalise Mecklenberg and Kendall Bucher did some serious damage despite the final result: Mecklenberg went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Bucher went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Mount Juliet's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9-1. As for Dickson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season.

Mount Juliet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dickson County, they will square off against Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars are facing the Admirals at the right time seeing as the Admirals are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
