Palatka took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Santa Fe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders on Monday, sneaking past 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Palatka's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-3.

Coming up, Palatka will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Clay at 6:30 p.m. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. Santa Fe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
