Basketball Recap: Tuscola Starts Season with Victory Against Madison

Tuscola took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 66-45 margin over the Madison Patriots. This was payback for the Mountaineers, who suffered a 56-49 loss the last time these two teams met.

Julia Wells was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten steals. The matchup was her third in a row with at least 15 points. Vesper Forbes was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Tuscola was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Madison now has a losing record of 1-2.
