Recap: Chattahoochee Cougars vs. South Cobb Eagles        
        
		
            
 The Chattahoochee Cougars waltzed into  Friday's  matchup with three straight wins  but they left with four. They came out on top against South Cobb by a score of  46-39. Given Chattahoochee's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 112th, while South Cobb is ranked 238th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Leading Chattahoochee to victory were  Riley Berninger and  Loren Withrite.  Berninger  scored 10 points along with 6  rebounds, while  Withrite  scored 21 points.
 Despite the  loss, South Cobb saw an underclassman step up:  LaDashia Taylor  scored 12 points. Taylor scored a full 30.8% of South Cobb's points, the second time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Jordyn Martin was another key contributor,  scoring 6 points.
 Chattahoochee's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for South Cobb, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chattahoochee will  face off against Berkmar at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Berkmar is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for South Cobb, they will head out on the road to face off against Marietta at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Marietta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
