Basketball Recap: Hudson Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

There's no place like home for Hudson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees 40-38. This was a revenge game for the Explorers: when they faced off against the Bees back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-44 loss.

Despite the defeat, Brecksville-Broadview Heights saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ashley Perdion posted 11 points along with six boards and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Jossie Hackney, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

Hudson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3.

Hudson and Brecksville-Broadview Heights should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Hudson will challenge Nordonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 308 places (73 vs. 381). Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights (ranked 29th) will meet Solon (ranked 416th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
