Soccer Game Preview: Monroe Catholic vs. North Pole

The Monroe Catholic Rams will head out on the road to square off against the North Pole Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Monroe Catholic's offense. They lost 14-0 to West Valley on Saturday. Monroe Catholic have struggled against West Valley recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, North Pole faced West Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Wolf Pack, falling 5-0.

Monroe Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Pole, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Monroe Catholic couldn't quite get it done against North Pole in their previous meeting last Wednesday as they fell 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
