Soccer Recap: Schaumburg Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in March, Schaumburg was forced to settle for a draw on Saturday. Neither they nor the Jacobs Golden Eagles could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Schaumburg's goal came courtesy of Alexis Almli, who's now up to five this season.

Schaumburg's draw gives them a new season record of 7-6-3. Meanwhile, Jacobs' record is now 6-7-4.

Schaumburg will have to wait a while for a more definitive result, as their next game is a ways away: they'll take on Rolling Meadows at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th. Schaumburg are facing Rolling Meadows at the right time seeing as Rolling Meadows are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jacobs, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Crystal Lake South on the 13th.
