If Lamar beats Cypress Falls with 63 points on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Lamar took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 63-25 victory over Houston Math Science & Tech. The Texans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cypress Falls didn't have too much trouble with Cypress Ridge on Tuesday as they won 52-33. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Rams are ranked 985th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lamar's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Cypress Falls, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.
