Recap: Loris Lions vs. South Columbus Stallions
There's no place like home for the Loris Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past South Columbus 63-23 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-10.
Loris was led to victory by Janiya Richburg and DaZena Capers. Richburg dropped a double-double on 10 points and 18 rebounds, while Capers scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karmen Moody, who scored 11 points.
The victory got Loris back to even at 1-1. As for South Columbus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Loris will be playing at home against Green Sea Floyds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Columbus won't have much time to rest: their next match is against West Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully West Brunswick focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Tuesday.
