Shakopee is 9-1 against Prior Lake since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Shakopee sitting on four straight wins and Prior Lake on five.

Meanwhile, Prior Lake faced Lakeville North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Prior Lake strolled past Lakeville North with points to spare, taking the game 77-58. While the Lakers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Shakopee pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Prior Lake, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Shakopee was able to grind out a solid victory over Prior Lake when the teams last played back in February, winning 103-94. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shakopee since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
