Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Victorious

Cambridge posted their closest victory since October 28, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Pingree Highlanders 3-2.

Cambridge took Pingree into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 24-26, 15-7.

Cambridge found their leader in sophomore Lyla Shin, who had five digs and four aces. Shin also set a new season-high mark in assists with 14. Anna Lu also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Cambridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Cambridge's win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Cambridge will look to defend their home court on Monday against Boston Trinity Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Pingree, they will challenge Dexter Southfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
