Soccer Recap: Wright City Takes a Loss

Wright City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sullivan Eagles. Wright City were not able to make up for their defeat to Sullivan from their previous meeting back in May of 2022.

Wright City's loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for Sullivan, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Wright City will head out on the road to challenge Duchesne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sullivan, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against St. Clair on the 17th.
