Basketball Game Preview: Pima Roughriders vs. Morenci Wildcats

Pima is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Morenci is on a five-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Pima Roughriders will welcome the Morenci Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pima is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Scottsdale Christian Academy just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The game marked the Roughriders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Morenci against San Miguel on Tuesday as the squad secured a 76-34 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Pima's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Morenci, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
