Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Royal Knights vs. Fivay Falcons

The River Ridge Royal Knights will square off against the Fivay Falcons at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. River Ridge is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Last Wednesday, River Ridge beat Clearwater Central Catholic 48-41.

River Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Lee led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. Lee is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lexi Wade, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Fivay had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 49-30 win over Cypress Creek on Tuesday.

River Ridge's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.6 points. As for Fivay, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Everything came up roses for River Ridge against Fivay in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 57-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for River Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
