Pine Grove came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Millersburg Indians a 1-0 shutout. The win was all the more spectacular given Pine Grove's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Millersburg are ranked 68th).

Pine Grove's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Millersburg, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Grove will head out to challenge Palmerton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
