Soccer Game Preview: Jones vs. Fenwick

The Jones Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Fenwick Friars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Jones managed to keep up with Lane Tech until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Champions. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Jones haven't been shut out since back in April.

Meanwhile, Fenwick had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Redwings. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Fenwick were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Lila Gaddipati, who's now up to 12 this season.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 10-5-2. As for Fenwick, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.
