Softball Recap: Santa Teresa Comes Up Short

Santa Teresa managed to slip by Carlmont the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Saints came up short against the Scots on Saturday, falling 8-1. The Saints' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Santa Teresa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Carlmont, they pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Teresa will venture away from home to face off against Ann Sobrato at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Carlmont, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Woodside at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Scots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
