Softball Recap: Mahtomedi Comes Up Short

Mahtomedi couldn't beat South St. Paul on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Zephyrs came up short against the Packers, falling 19-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Packers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 two weeks ago.

Mahtomedi's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for South St. Paul, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Mahtomedi will venture away from home to take on North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South St. Paul, they will welcome Simley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
