Recap: Valmeyer Pirates vs. Waterloo Bulldogs
The Valmeyer Pirates won against the Waterloo Bulldogs on Wednesday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Valmeyer breezed by Waterloo on the road to the tune of 55-19. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Valmeyer has managed all season.
Valmeyer had a senior duo take command as Brooke Miller dropped a double-double on 26 points and 17 rebounds and Kierstin Miller almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 12 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least 25% of Valmeyer's points. Another player making a difference was Avery Proffer, who scored five points along with three steals.
Valmeyer has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Waterloo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Valmeyer will be home for the holidays to greet Dupo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Dupo is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Waterloo, they will head out on the road to face off against Mater Dei at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
