Hackley and Dalton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Hornets will face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hackley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Fieldston on Monday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 9-1. The Hornets have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dalton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Collegiate 12-2 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Dalton's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Hackley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Hackley came out on top in a nail-biter against Dalton when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 11-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
