Softball Preview: Seton LaSalle Rebels vs. McGuffey Highlanders

The Seton LaSalle Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the McGuffey Highlanders at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Monday just wasn't the day for Seton LaSalle's offense. They fell just short of Waynesburg Central by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The contest marked that first time this season in which Seton LaSalle was not able to get on the board.

Seton LaSalle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kiara Cerminara, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, McGuffey made sure to put some runs up on the board against Keystone Oaks on Monday. McGuffey was the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over Keystone Oaks. The result was nothing new for McGuffey, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Makenna Crothers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk).
