Volleyball Recap: Arcanum Trojans vs. Franklin Monroe Jets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brookville, Arcanum was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Franklin Monroe Jets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
One reason for the win was Arcanum's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-14.
Grace Fry was a one-man wrecking crew for Arcanum as she had six digs and five aces. That's the most aces Fry has posted since back in September.
Arcanum was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Monroe only served five.
Arcanum's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. As for Franklin Monroe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
After both having extra time off, Arcanum and Tri-County North will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arcanum is facing Tri-County North at the right time seeing as Tri-County North is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Franklin Monroe, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Houston at 11:00 a.m.
