Southern Lehigh has gone a perfect 6-0 against Saucon Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Southern Lehigh will face off against Saucon Valley at 4:00 p.m. Southern Lehigh will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Southern Lehigh and Catasauqua meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Southern Lehigh put the hurt on Catasauqua with a sharp 18-0 win. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Delaney Young looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That one hit allowed gave her a new career-low.

At the plate, Southern Lehigh got a massive performance out of Lila Padden, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave Padden a new career-high. Isabella Germani also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Saucon Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bangor on Saturday. Saucon Valley narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bangor 10-8.
Matty Seyfried was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits. Seyfried was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Ryan Gall was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Rowan Best was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Southern Lehigh's record now sits at 3-1. As for Saucon Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Everything went Southern Lehigh's way against Saucon Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Southern Lehigh made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southern Lehigh since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
