Softball Recap: Kamiakin Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Kamiakin had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Southridge Suns 13-3. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 19-12 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Jordynn Marquez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Analise Thomasson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Kamiakin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
