Softball Recap: St. Paul Takes a Loss

St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Smithville Tigers. The matchup marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Smithville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

St. Paul wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-2 victory against Brazos on the 8th. As for Smithville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against La Grange on the 11th.
