Baseball Recap: Moorhead Comes Up Short

Moorhead and Bemidji pushed the score to 21-13 the last time they played Bemidji, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Spuds fell just short of the Lumberjacks by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Spuds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Moorhead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Heinsch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Moorhead now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bemidji, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorhead will take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bemidji, they will face off against Grand Rapids at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
