Baseball Recap: Challis Vikings vs. Wendell Trojans
Challis and Wendell pushed the score to 14-6 the last time they played Wendell, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Vikings skirted past the Trojans 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.
Brayden Ollar was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Ollar wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Ellsworth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.
