Basketball Recap: Genoa Central Falls Short of Centerpoint in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Genoa Central can now relate to. They lost 59-34 to the Centerpoint Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Knights are ranked 41st).

Genoa Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season. Centerpoint pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Genoa Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centerpoint, they have already played their next contest, a 62-45 loss against Fouke on the 22nd.
