Basketball Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

Bryan played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Omaha South Packers and fell 86-56. The Bears have struggled against the Packers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Bryan still got an impressive performance from Dominique Hairston Jr, who went 12-for-27 on his way to 32 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Garrett, who posted seven points.

Omaha South was led to victory by Jay Jones and Jamir Davis. Jones shot 55% from the field en route to 32 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, while Davis dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. What's more, Jones posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in January. Another player making a difference was Chuol Chuol, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 rebounds.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Omaha South, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Bryan and Mount Michael Benedictine will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Omaha South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buena Vista at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
