Soccer Recap: Marshall Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Marshall had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wilson Mules 2-1. Given the Barristers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Mules are ranked 1088th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cyrus Ophuls and Christopher Lara scored both of Marshall's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.
