Volleyball Recap: Rock Creek Snags 19th Win in Last 22 Games

After losing to Bishop Miege the last time they met, Rock Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Stags on Friday.

Rock Creek was led to victory by Lucy Martinie and Kylee Frazee. Martinie had 14 digs and three assists, while Frazee hit 52.6% for 11 kills and 21 digs. Those 21 digs gave Frazee a new career-high.

Mayley Morrison and Nina Andrade certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Morrison had ten digs and three assists, while Andrade had three aces.

Rock Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record this season. As for Bishop Miege, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-28.

Rock Creek has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Andale on the 31st. As for Bishop Miege, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Paola on the 31st.
