Softball Recap: Swansea Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Swansea can now relate to. They fell just short of the Battery Creek Dolphins by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olivia Porter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Caylyn Whaler, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Swansea's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Battery Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Swansea wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Marlboro County on the 9th. As for Battery Creek, they have also already played their next matchup, a 14-0 loss against Aynor on the 9th.
