Volleyball Recap: Miller Grove Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Miller Grove came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lithonia Bulldogs. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miller Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Black, who had three aces. Black is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor-Raye Evering, who had six assists and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Miller Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Miller Grove's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lithonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Miller Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cross Keys on the 9th. As for Lithonia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Cedar Grove on the 9th.
