Baseball Recap: Colonel Richardson's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Colonel Richardson fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Michaels on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. Colonels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Saints since on Thursday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Colonel Richardson fell to 5-1. As for St. Michaels, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Colonel Richardson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 defeat against North Caroline on the 4th. As for St. Michaels, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Washington at 4:00 p.m. The Jaguars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.83 runs per game on average), something the Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of.
