It was a good run, but Lopez unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laredo LBJ Wolves.

Jasmine Cortinas paced Lopez's offense, picking up six kills. Cortinas got some help from Chalene Granado and her ten assists. Cortinas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lopez's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Laredo LBJ, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.
