Softball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Sussex County Tech. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sussex County Tech, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dover will take on Hopatcong at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sussex County Tech, they will face off against Wallkill Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rangers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sussex County Tech surely won't give up without a fight.
