DuBois Central Catholic is a perfect 10-0 against Brockway since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cardinals will face off against the Rovers at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
DuBois Central Catholic's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Kane with a sharp 16-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Rylee Kulbatsky made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Marina Hanes was a standout: she got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Dani Perri also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
DuBois Central Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Brockway hadn't done well against Elk County Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rovers blew past the Crusaders 10-0. Winning may never get old, but the Rovers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Navayda Smith tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Elysabeth Myers and Payton Craft did most of the damage at the plate: Myers went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Craft got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Reitz, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
DuBois Central Catholic now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Brockway, their record is now 14-2.
DuBois Central Catholic took their win against Brockway in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Rovers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
