Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Faith Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Christ Covenant Spartans, falling 55-28. While losing is never fun, the Conquerors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Spartans are ranked 143rd).

Despite the loss, Faith Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bella Finney posted nine points. Kierstyn Broaddus also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Christ Covenant, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Faith Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-30 loss against Gramercy Christian on the 17th. Christ Covenant has also already played their next contest (against Community Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
