While West Florida's victory against Escambia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Gators 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won five in a row.

West Florida's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Escambia, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Looking ahead, West Florida will square off against Navarre at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Escambia, they will take on Pensacola Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
