Baseball Recap: Waupaca Takes a Loss

Waupaca came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to the Denmark Vikings. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Max Dolski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Harms, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Waupaca's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Denmark, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Waupaca is set to square off against their familiar foe Little Chute at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Denmark will take on rival Oconto Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
