Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After losing to Temple Christian the last time they met, Liberty Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Liberty Christian Academy Knights came out on top against the Temple Christian Tigers by a score of 41-29 on Thursday. The Knights pushed the score to 31-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Tanner Kuykendall was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Another player making a difference was Bryan Bunnells, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Liberty Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

With the victory, Liberty Christian Academy broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Liberty Christian Academy and Temple Christian will both be playing Mintz Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Liberty Christian Academy will head out to face Mintz Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Temple Christian will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on February 4th.
