Basketball Recap: KIPP P Takes a Loss

KIPP P was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Weldon Chargers, falling 53-6. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-9 back in January.

Shaelyn Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Weldon, putting up 25 points. Another player making a difference was Ezuri Reid, who posted 13 points.

KIPP P's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Weldon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

KIPP P has already played their next matchup (against Rocky Mount Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Weldon has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Wilson Prep.
