Basketball Recap: Webster County Comes Up Short

Webster County was the 72-70 winner over Greater Beckley Christian when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Webster County Highlanders had to suffer through a 71-43 loss at the hands of the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Highlanders have suffered against the Crusaders since February 11, 2022.

Webster County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Greater Beckley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Webster County will be home for the holidays to greet Doddridge County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Doddridge County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Webster County surely won't give up without a fight. Greater Beckley Christian and Liberty will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
