Soccer Game Preview: Stem Preparatory Academy vs. Liberty Creek

The Stem Preparatory Academy Chargers will venture away from home to square off against the Liberty Creek Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Stem Preparatory Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Independence Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Stem Preparatory Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Liberty Creek had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots, sneaking past 2-1. Liberty Creek haven't had any issues with White House-Heritage recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Elliott Ho and Aiden Hoscheit scored both of Liberty Creek's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Liberty Creek pushed their record up to 15-4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Stem Preparatory Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4-1.
