Marais des Cygnes Valley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Blue Valley Rams 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Marais des Cygnes Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Emily Criqui paced Marais des Cygnes Valley's offense, picking up 25 kills. Criqui got some help from Akyra Michelle Traver and her 27 assists. Finally, Colbie Cormode kept Marais des Cygnes Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
