Softball Recap: Preston's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Preston can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Burley Bobcats by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Bobcats on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Ellie Keller made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Keller was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Paisley Campbell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brielle Biggs, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Preston's record now sits at 8-10. As for Burley, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Preston wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 30-11 victory against Snake River on the 18th. As for Burley, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-6 win against Canyon Ridge on the 22nd.
