Football Recap: Oasis Comes Up Short

Oasis played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 49-6 defeat at the hands of the Glades Central Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Raiders are ranked 184th).

Glades Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Armaud Stinfort led the charge by rushing for 100 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Algernod Crawford, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Oasis' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Glades Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Oasis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-21 win against Clewiston on the 5th. As for Glades Central, they have also already played their next game, a 49-0 victory against Palm Beach Lakes on the 4th.
