Soccer Game Preview: North Allegheny vs. Fox Chapel

The North Allegheny Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Fox Chapel Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Allegheny's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

North Allegheny is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Pennsylvania's top teams: Seneca Valley, who was ranked third at the time (North Allegheny was ranked 23rd). The Tigers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. North Allegheny's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Fox Chapel entered their tilt with Butler on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Golden Tornado 4-0. The result was nothing new for Fox Chapel, who have now won four contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Fox Chapel's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for North Allegheny, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-2.
