Baseball Recap: Eagle Rock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sotomayor last Friday, Eagle Rock came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 5-2 to the Marshall Barristers on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Barristers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Eagle Rock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jet Eells, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Eagle Rock's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Marshall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Barristers beat Eagle Rock by a score of 7-1 on Friday.
